Sprinter & Transit Floor Plans: Moab, Snowbird & Truck Camper

These are the Sprinter and Transit floor plans Thrive Overland builds from in Utah — plus a truck camper layout. Start with how you cook, sleep, and wash. Then pick wheelbase. Layouts can be customized on a consult; the plans below are the starting points we actually build from.

You may know us as Thrivans or Thrive Crafted Vans. Same family. Same craft. Now Thrive Overland.

Moab vs Snowbird — pick the living pattern

Moab is open concept, with a work or dining area. Choose it when open mid-van living matters more than an indoor wet room. It reads simpler on the wet-area story and stronger on flexible daytime space.

Snowbird is the indoor shower / wet room path. Choose it when a dedicated wash space is non-negotiable — weekend ski trips, long desert runs, or anyone who wants the shower inside the van.

Neither layout is a priced sticker tier. Both are floor plans we build from. Ballpark a conversion in Build Your Rig; final pricing is confirmed on a consult. Conversion price does not include the van or truck.

144 vs 170

Shorter vans favor compact Moab or Snowbird 144 plans. Longer vans open Snowbird 170 options with a dinette / convertible bed or a fixed bed. Wheelbase is a fit question — bring chassis length and how many people sleep aboard to the consult. Lisa will be honest about what fits cleanly.

DIY plans vs a full Thrive build

Printed and digital Moab and Snowbird plans are in the store for builders doing the work themselves — the same layouts we build from. That is the DIY path. Start in DIY resources.

If you want Thrive to build it, use Bring Your Own Rig: ballpark in Build Your Rig, consult with Lisa, $2,500 hold, then the Utah hand-build. We usually book 6–8 months out; builds typically take 5–6 months.

How to choose in one pass

  1. Shower inside the van? → Snowbird. Prefer open mid-van? → Moab.
  2. Sleep pattern: fixed bed vs dinette that converts — mainly a 170 Snowbird choice.
  3. Chassis length: 144 vs 170 (or truck for the camper plan).
  4. Run Build Your Rig for a conversion ballpark, then consult.

Still comparing shops? Ask for the floor plan they actually build from — not a marketing mock. These five are ours.
